aper pipe NPTF 6 step plug gage is used in conjunction with L1 plug to inspect the profile of the internal threads or crest truncation. In other words, its purpose is to measure the pitch diameter size of the essential components of the dry seal.

Flexible Hole Location Gages are used to inspect the centerline distance between two or more threaded holes. They may also be used to measure the perpendicularity from the face of the threaded part to the centerline pitch diameter of the threaded hole.

Plug gauges are used to check internal threads, whereas ring gauges are used to check external threads. Each gauge comprises of two parts: a GO gauge and a NO GO gauge.
